Summer Archery Boot Camps for age 9 and up! Beginner and experienced shooter camps! SUMMER ARCHERY BEGINNER BOOT CAMP Duration: 1 week Beginner Camp 9:00-9:50 Dates: July 10th through 14th Cost: $60 Location: Presbyterian Church of Bloomingdale 710 E. Bloomingdale Ave., Brandon Class limited to: 12 kids per time slot For those kids who would love to learn to shoot a compound bow, come attend our beginner's archery boot camp where you will be introduced to basic shooting skills. This camp will get them ready to compete in the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP). Our team motto is "Shoot Straight!" which is built on the character traits of honesty and integrity. So come join us to fine tune your archery skills for the upcoming 2023-2024 NASP competitive season (our current team just won STATE and will be traveling to Nationals in KY) Each camp day will focus on a different basic archery skill to master. It will be a team building fun time for the inexperienced archer. Day 1: Understanding the range, bow and whistle blows (safety) Day 2: The basic stance and anchor positions Day 3: Finding your aiming spot (everyone will utilize target markers, there will be a fun shooting challenge) Day 4: Gain more experience shooting at 5 and 10 meters Day 5: Put your skills to the test, 10 meter fun competition. Bows will be provided to use for the week. If you have your own Genesis compound bow please bring it. Arrows will be provided. No experience needed. Just a heart to shoot! Coach Carrie and Coach Abigail will be teaching camp. SUMMER ARCHERY INTERMEDATE BOOT CAMP This camp is for archers who have already completed the Intro to Archery Class. Duration: 1 week Intermediate Camp 10:00-11:00 AM Dates: July 10th through 14th Cost: $65 Location: Presbyterian Church of Bloomingdale 710 E. Bloomingdale Ave., Brandon
Registration for this camp is open to students who have completed the Intro to Archery Class-Competitive level archers and is $60 for the week. Our team motto is "Shoot Straight!" which is built on the character traits of honesty and integrity. So come join us to fine tune your archery skills for the upcoming 2023-2024 NASP competitive season (our current team just won STATE and will be traveling to Nationals in KY) . It will be a team building fun time for any level of experience in archery. Day 1: The perfect stance, stomach muscles, arm positions, hand release positions and eye posture. For the advanced shooters we will discuss muscle usage, finger placement, and breathing. Day 2: Finding your aiming spot (everyone will utilize target markers, there will be a shooting challenge) Day 3: Fine tuning your post-shot Day 4: Strength training and drills Day 5: Put your skills to the test, inner team competition. Some bows will be provided to use for the week. If you have your own Genesis compound bow please bring it. Arrows will be provided. The first 15 minutes will be theory with approximately 45 min of practice. Every archer must have completed the beginner archery class. Coach Carrie and Coach Abigail will be teaching camp. General Note: - Please wear closed toe shoes, bring water and bug spray.
