Tampa Bay HEAT Drama PRESENTS NEWSIES Jr. SHOWS DATES: April 25 & 26 Each cast will perform 3 shows each during those 2 days. Dress Rehearsal will be Thursday, April 24. Location: HCC Brandon Theatre THIS IS REGISTRATION IS FOR NEWSIES Jr. We have 2 Drama Casts for ages 10 and up: This semester we are trying something new. With musicals we need more time for music and dancing. Instead of having an additional rehearsal on Saturdays for 2 hours, we are just extending class to 3 hours during the week. Tuesday Cast 2:30-5:30 Thursday Cast 3:45-6:45 Auditions December 11th (Wednesday)! Once you sign up for an audition time, you will receive an email within a few days with the specifics for auditions. Payment: if you are cast in Newsies, you will be sent an invoice after casting is announced. In each cast, we can accommodate up to 40 cast members. While we hope that all those who audition will receive a part, in the event that more than 80 students audition, some will not receive a role for the upcoming play. We will be asking those who were not cast to return for our next audition, as there may be roles better suited for them in the next production. LOCATION: Homeschool Resource Center 307 S. Parsons Ave. Brandon, 33511 Newsies Jr. will be led by Jen Holmstrom (director and musical director), Hal Granholm (assistant director), and April Lee, (choreographer and stage manager). A project of this undertaking requires lots of hands, so each family is required to assist in some way with the production (set up, clean up, lighting, sound, backstage help, etc.) This is part of the FUN of a big drama production!
You must be a current member of the Tampa Bay HEAT to participate in the drama troupe. Paticipation fees are non-refundable after casting has been decided. We cannot guarantee reimbursement for the Step Up for Students FTC PEP or UA scholarships. |
