In a recent poll, approximately 70% of millennials or younger claim to not know how to change a car tire. On top of that, thousands of dollars are wasted every day by frivolous charges tacked on at unscrupulous automotive shops that can be easily saved by conducting basic vehicle maintenance at home. This year, the average age of vehicles in the US hit a record 12.5 years, making vehicle maintenance more important than ever. This is an automotive maintenance skills class for all mature children ages 11-17 and adults. The following skills will be taught in this class: The basics of how engines function The basics of suspensions The basics of fuel, electrics The basics of tools Headlight/taillight replacement Engine air filter replacement Cabin air filter replacement Battery diagnostic and replacement Oil change in standard, turbocharged, and diesel vehicles Proper vehicle cleaning, detailing, minor paint correction How to change a tire How to repair a flat tire Coolant flush and change Diagnostic tool use ODBII code clearing (Check engine light) And much much more Parents: Now here's an additional opportunity.
