Parsons Ave. Brandon, 33511 Tuesdays from August 20th to April 29th (32 weeks) 1:15 -2:30 PM Consumer Math is designed to teach students everyday math skills such as setting financial goals, creating a budget, buying a car or home, saving and investing, and paying taxes. The goal of this Consumer Math course is to enable students to make educated decisions on matters of personal finance. The course focuses on awareness of consumer-related issues and strives to help students become informed consumers. Instructor Bio Hi, my name is Shelley Whisenant and I have been homeschooling my 5 children for 20 years. Before kids, I started my teaching career as a Spanish teacher in public school and as I moved into my role as a homeschool mom, somewhere along the way I added teaching Math and English as a Second Language classes. I have taught all levels of math through Algebra II and all levels of Spanish through AP Spanish and Dual Enrollment in community college.
