Parsons Ave. Brandon, 33511 Beginning Reading Class (recommended ages 4-5) This class will focus on letter names and sounds, concepts of print, phonemic awareness, and oral comprehension. Wednesdays from 9:00a-10:00a Primary Reading Class (recommended ages 6-8) This class will focus on reading strategies, blending, sight words, word work, and reading comprehension. Wednesday 11:30-12:30 PM Intermediate Reading Class (recommended ages 8+) This class will focus on reading comprehension strategies, fluency, vocabulary, and word work. Brandon, 33511. Teacher Bio Hello everyone! My name is Brandi Ruffner, and I am a Florida certified teacher in Pre-k to 6th grade as well as Exceptional Education K-12. I taught for 4 years in the public school system before deciding to homeschool my own children. I have 2 boys, ages 16 and 19, and have been homeschooling for 7 years. My husband is in the military, and last year, we moved back to the beautiful state of Florida. We are hopeful that he can retire in a few years and that we can stay in this area. For the past 7 years, I have taught for several out-of-state homeschool groups, and I have taught various subjects and age levels, ranging from pre-k basics to high school chemistry. This past year I started subbing a few days a week for Hillsborough County Public schools. I really enjoy teaching and look forward to an amazing year with the HEAT!
