Monday Afternoons Starting August 2024 Location: Presbyterian Church of Bloomingdale 710 E Bloomingdale Ave, Brandon, FL 33511 Back of Building Recreational and Competitive Archery Teams If you are ready to take your kid's archery to the next level or you want to continue developing advanced techniques sign your kids up for one of our archery teams: Mondays October 28th-May 12th Last fall class will be 12/9 Holiday break from 12/16 - 1/6 Club Class(non- competition/shooting for fun): 1:30-2:30 Elementary Tournament Team: 2:30-3:30 Middle School Tournament Team: 3:30-4:30 High School Tournament Team: 4:30-5:45 . Competitive team shooters must own your own bow (Matthew's Genesis Bow with 1820 Easton Arrows), practice arrows provided Must purchase a team jersey in order to compete. Sold separate through HRC or online store. If registering for a Tournament Team, an archer needs to be prepared to commit to 4 out of 6 tournaments. The only tournament fee covered by your registration paid to HEAT is the State Tournament. All other tournament fees will be collected before the event. Most of the tournaments are $7-$8. Last year we didn’t have these dates this far in advance and that created some scheduling conflicts. We are hoping having these planned this far out and only expecting a commitment for one out of the three BOK tournaments will help with this season. HEAT Fire and Ice Tournament 710 E. We do not currently have those dates. We are working on getting them. Archer should be committed to one out of three BOK tournaments. These tournaments take place at 210 Presidents Drive, Lake Wales, Fl 33859 FL NASP State Championship Tournament Alachua County Sports and Events Center 4870 Celebration Point Avenue Gainesville , FL 32608 4/11/25-4/12/25 We will be looking for other tournaments to attend. If tournaments are added to the calendar, there will not be a required commitment to those new additions. Since our practice range is outside, we are at the mercy of the weather and may have to occasionally cancel a practice. About National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) NASP® is an activity that doesn’t discriminate based on popularity, athletic skill, gender, size, or academic ability. It’s a different kind of team sport. It’s open to any student. Teams come together around one thing: Archery. The National Archery in the Schools Program is an in-school program aimed at improving educational performance among students in grades 4th – 12th. And through it, students are learning focus, self-control, discipline, patience, and the life lessons required to be successful in the classroom and in life.
