Beginner Archery Program
If bows and arrows intrigue your kids, sign them up for an 8-week class. This class will introduce basic techniques to shoot a compound bow such as stance, anchoring position, aiming points and arm positions. The class will also address the important safety rules for the shooting range. The 8-weeks provide the building blocks to prepare your kids to advance to the competitive team. 
 
One class available, LIMITED DUE TO SPACE to 12 kids/class session, no experience required
Ages: 4th grade to 12th Grade
Bows and arrows provided
Classes start Sept 19th and go until Nov 14th; rain days will be honored. No classes 10/31
Time: 1:30 pm to 2:15 pm
or
2:30 pm to 3:15 pm. 
Registration is $88 per athlete.
 
Note to parents: This may be the only two beginner classes offered in 2022-2023 school year. After completion, this class in the spring semester will most likely convert to the competitive team to include beginners for Regionals, State and Nationals in February, March and May. There may be cases where your child is too small and does not have the arm span to safely draw a bow; in these cases, there are safety issues to consider, and the coaches will discuss alternative options with the parents. 
 
 
Intermediate Archery Program
Let's take the next archery step, sign them up for an 8-week class. This class will target refined basic archery techniques and gaining experience shooting. The 8-weeks provide the foundation to start your kids in competition.
 
One class available, LIMITED DUE TO SPACE to 24 kids must have completed the beginner archer program, boot camp, or be evaluated by a coach
Ages: 4th grade to 12th Grade
Some bows and arrows provided; it is recommended to purchase your own bow but not required. 
Classes start Sept 19th and go until Nov 14th; rain days will be honored. No classes 10/31
Time: Monday's at 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm. 
Registration is $100 per athlete.
  
 
Competitive Archery Team
If you are ready to take your kid's archery to the next level or you want to continue developing advanced techniques sign your kids up for our 10-week competitive team archery program. 
 
One class available, LIMITED DUE TO SPACE to 40 kids, must have completed the beginner or intermediate archer programs, boot camp, be evaluated by a coach and or have a strong desire to compete. 
Ages: 4th grade to 12th Grade
Must own your own bow (Matthew's Genesis Bow with 1850 Easton Arrows), practice arrows provided
Must purchase a team shirt in order to compete. Sold separate through HRC. 
Classes start Sept 19th and go until Dec 5th with 10/31 and Thanksgiving week off; rain days will be honored
Time: Monday afternoon's at 4:30 pm to 5:45 pm. 
Coach: David Dlugo, Certified NASP BAI Instructor
Registration is $120 per athlete.

Due to the overwhelming response to be part of the archery program, additional time slots and classes may open up. Time slots prior to 4:30 pm are subject to move around to ​accommodate more kids. 
 
About National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP)
NASP® is an activity that doesn’t discriminate based on popularity, athletic skill, gender, size, or academic ability. It’s a different kind of team sport. It’s open to any student. Teams come together around one thing: Archery.
The National Archery in the Schools Program is an in-school program aimed at improving educational performance among students in grades 4th – 12th. And through it, students are learning focus, self-control, discipline, patience, and the life lessons required to be successful in the classroom and in life.
