Classes begin October 16th and run for 6 weeks (November 20th)

Registration is $65

Week 1: Introduction to Florida agriculture history. Important dates of Florida's history, commodities, and what is agriculture

Week 2: Introduction to Plants. We discuss how plants help us, plants main parts, and what a plant needs to grow.

Week 3: The life cycle of a strawberry. We learn words such as life cycle, pollination, germination, and seed. Then we talk about the stages a strawberry goes through from seed to fruit. We also plan on creating paper pots this lesson and letting students plant seeds

Week 4: Introduction to livestock. We'll discuss what livestock are, why they're important, and what Florida produces the most

Week 5: Introduction to pollinators. Learn the life cycle of a bee and why they're important to producing food

Week 6: The Citrus Industry. We'll learn why citrus was so important to Florida, what citrus is, and make something edible with oranges!
