New Location!

A $50 non-refundable deposit (unless we cancel, or spaces are full) will hold your child's spot in this awesome program! You may pay your deposit via PayPal, drop payment by the Homeschool Resource Center or mail to Tampa Bay HEAT, 1011 Knowles Rd. Brandon, 33511. Final payment due by August 1st.

This is a drop off program, but each family must volunteer (approx. 6 hours per semester) or use the buyout option for a portion of their time. We need help with car lines, clean up, or 2 weeks of assisting in the classroom. There is a buyout option available if you are in a season of life where it is difficult to volunteer. You may not bring younger siblings during your volunteer hours (except nursing babies) You must complete your volunteer sign up or pay the buyout option BEFORE the first day of STEAM. Here is the link for the volunteer areas. Sign up early for best selection! Please go to this link to sign up for your volunteer spot - https://volunteersignup.org/YBTA9

Early Bird Registration is $260 for the 12 weeks semester (costs $7.22/hr for 36 hours of instruction). You must be a HEAT member to participate in the STEAM Program. This will include most supplies (a standard school supply list will be provided as well as requests for items that would benefit the program that people might have available), teaching fees, background check, a cool STEAM t-shirt and administrative and facility expenses.

The volunteer sign-up option is $75 for 1/2 of the required hours or $150 for all of your required hours.

STEAM is short for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. The idea is that all of these areas of study are important for creating a well-rounded and flexible education. Because the world is always changing, STEAM programs aim to not only educate, but prepare students for anything that lies ahead.

School isn't supposed to be something to endure, rather, it should be something to inspire. STEAM makes the learning environment fun and creative, while teaching students to collaborate and problem-solve. Today's world needs innovators: people who have the education and passion to make a difference.

The HEAT STEAM program is a hybrid program that will combine the convenience of a drop off program but with some parental involvement (like a co-op)! This will foster our STEAM community and enhance the educational experience for your child. Each family is ONLY required to volunteer for 6 hours out of the 36-hour program! There is a buyout option available if you are in a season of life where it is difficult to volunteer. You may not bring younger siblings during your volunteer hours (except nursing babies).

STEAM is fast paced and FUN! If you are looking for a program that your children will look forward to attending that will challenge them academically and creatively, this will be a great fit for your family!
