Middle School Math Classes 2024-2025 Homeschool Resource Center 307 S. Parsons Ave. Brandon, 33511 Tuesdays from August 20th to April 29th (30 weeks) 9:00 -10:00 AM Middle School Math (Grades 6-8) Topics covered will include: ratios, rates, percents, operations with whole numbers and decimals, fractions, integers, geometry, equations and inequalities. Emphasis will be placed on preparing the student for upper-level middle school math and Pre-Algebra upon completion of the course. The student should have a solid grasp of the four operations in order to take this course. Please note: **The student will be expected to complete daily homework in this class** Materials: 3 ring binder, five subject dividers, notebook paper, and pencils Teacher will provide all math materials in the form of handouts. Instructor: Shelley Whisenant [email protected] Class fee: $370 (includes supplies/teaching materials) Tuition is $370 for the course for the year. A $70 non-refundable (unless we cancel the class) will hold your spot. The balance is payable directly to the instructor. Tuition must be paid in full (or payment arrangements made with the instructor by August 1st. Class size limit is 20 students. These spaces will fill as the non-refundable deposit is received. Instructor Bio I have been homeschooling my 5 children for 20 years. Before kids, I started my teaching career as a Spanish teacher in public school and as I moved into my role as a homeschool mom, somewhere along the way I added teaching Math and English as a Second Language classes. I have taught all levels of math through Algebra II and all levels of Spanish through AP Spanish and Dual Enrollment in community college. I have a heart for struggling learners and make sure all of the classes I teach are accessible for all learners. .
