Animation Class for Ages 11 and Up Fall 2024 Homeschool Resource Center 307 S. Parsons Ave. Brandon, 33511 Mondays beginning August 19th and running for 12 weeks. No classes Labor Day 2-3 PM ATTENTION FUTURE ANIMATORS! Are you ready to unlock your creative potential and bring your own characters to life? Join us to create your own animations. In this course, you will learn and implement the basics of 2-D animation. This course includes learning to shift weight, change expressions, create cycled movement, and more. Additionally, you will learn about the history of animation from provided articles written by industry professionals. Students are required to have access to a laptop with the animation program ‘Toon Boom Harmony: advanced’. Students get a discount for this industry-standard animation program of only $7 per month. Instructions on how to do so will be provided. Students are also required to have a drawing tablet. One that is recommended is the ‘Wacom Intuos’ drawing tablet. If your student needs alternative options for one or both of the requirements, please contact me. Whilst not required, it is recommended that students take the comic book course beforehand since students will be taught how to design their own characters in the course. During her time at UT, she interned at Pencil Gator Studios where she helped develop two scenes for a pilot episode for “Chorus to Dero” (or formally known as “Fate Saga”). She is an animator, character designer and comic book artist. She is currently working on her own comic book series in her free time. |
