Kinder & Kinder Jr Ages 4-6 Homeschool Resource Center 307 S. Parsons Ave. Brandon, FL 33511 Mondays beginning August 21st and running for 12 weeks (no class Labor Day) 9:00-10:00 AM Learning our way through the alphabet, numbers, shapes, and colors. We will be focusing on: Letters: -Recognition -Capital/Lowercase -Sounds -Putting letters together to read. Beginning reading. (it is okay if your child isn’t here yet, the class will learn and grow together as well as individually and I will focus on learning each student and what they are ready to learn next) Numbers: -Recognition -Counting with our words -Counting with objects and learning the basics of addition Shapes: -Recognition -Learning the differences between corners/angles, straight/curved lines, how many sides etc. -Learning how shapes make up our everyday world Colors: -Recognition -Learning primary and secondary colors and how to blend colors -Learn how we can identify the colors all around us As we learn we will sing, dance, play, create and grow together. We will have many hands-on learning activities so your child can find learning FUN! Registration is $120 for HEAT members Desiree Windle is a wife and mother of four children ages 12, 8, 4, and 2 years old. She grew up loving to teach anyone who would listen, including the teddy bears and baby dolls! The love for teaching started as a child and never left her. Desiree was a nanny from the age of 15 and loved teaching and caring for children as soon as she could she started working in daycares and taught ages 2-4. When she graduated high school she knew exactly what she wanted to do, while she went to school she worked as a CNA until she finished and then went on to teach mostly VPK and Kinder until the birth of her first child when she took a break for a year, taught again for another year until she decided she loved staying home, spending all the time with her boy and teaching him. Desiree has homeschooled from the beginning with her oldest child and is currently homeschooling three of her children.
