Preschool, Beginner and Intermediate Tumbling and Gymnastics Classes Fall 2023 Homeschool Resource Center 307 S. Parsons Ave. Brandon, 33511 Mondays starting August 21st and running for 12 weeks (no classes Labor Day) Preschool Class (age 3-4) Beginner and Intermediate (Age 5-11) Preschool Class 11:30-12:30 PM Beginner Class 12:45-1:45 PM Intermediate Class 2-3:00 PM $125 per HEAT student Preschool Gymnastics Class This class is designed for students ages 3-4 years old. In this class, we will learn coordination movements, gymnastics moves on the floor, low beams and bars, and different games that will help your little one strengthen their muscles while having fun! Beginner Gymnastics Class The beginner class is geared towards kids 5-11 with little or no gymnastics experience. In this class, we will learn basic tumbling skills for Floor exercise, balance exercises for Beam, speed and agility drills for Vault, and strength and conditioning for Bars. This class will give your child an understanding of what the sport of gymnastics is while at the same time learning skills that are challenging yet reachable. This class will help them feel confident to develop harder and more complicated skills later. Intermediate Gymnastics Class: Children participating in this class will learn bridge kick-over, handstand bridge, round-off, intro to back handspring, and intro to front handspring. To qualify for this class, participants must have a forward roll, backward roll, handstand without assistance, and cartwheel. They must be able to do a bridge from the ground up with ease. The students in this class have to have enough upper body strength to support their weight on their hands easily. We will be doing some low beam skills also such as handstand and side handstand.
