CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Show Choir is a performing arts class, where students learn to prepare and perform popular songs. No prior experience in singing or dancing is needed. Opportunities will be provided to learn and progress from any level.
We will be introducing basic choir skills and music theory. Students will add choreographed movements to the songs, text interpretation, facial and body expression, and other skills. Through show choir, students will gain greater confidence and enhance valuable life skills in teamwork, communication, dedication, and respect for others. In show choir, we are a family of music enthusiasts, where we work together to provide an unforgettable performance at the end of the semester!
INSTRUCTOR BIO:
Jen Holmstrom started musical theatre at the age of 4. She went on to earn awards in acting and stage presence. In high school and college, Jen specialized in dancing and choreography. She has been involved in directing and producing several musical stage productions and has even assisted in directing music videos.
She has a passion for performing arts and believes that it is a basis for confidence and success in all life prospects.
